The Guernsey Rugby Academy provides opportunities for children aged 4-18 to play rugby in Guernsey.

The Academy operates RFU standards and guidelines, including Age Grade Rugby, Kids First and RugbySafe, to provide a safe and enjoyable training environment.

​​

Training takes place every Sunday morning at Memorial Field, and GRFC Pitch, Footes Lane, St Peter Port.

0930 - 1015  - Tots (reception) & U6 (year 1) - mixed

0930 - 1030  - U7 (mixed)

0930 - 1100  - U8 to U11 (mixed)

1100 - 1230  - U12 to U15 (boys)

Our coaches, assistant coaches, referees, helpers and other volunteers are DBS checked and appropriately qualified for their role. Where possible they are encouraged to complete training and CPD above and beyond the basic requirements of their role to provide a dynamic and positive team of committed adults. 

​

The Academy promotes the core values of Rugby: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

The Academy is operated and managed by adult volunteers, with the support of a GRFC Lead Coach, a dedicated Rugby Development Officer (Iwan Shenton) and their teams.​
